HERE YOU GOOO
Ok so this is the performance they did at the huuuuge NRL finals last night. It's crazy how many people were there, makes me so proud of them. Crazy crazy. But I thought of some stuff while watching this:
- It looks kind of ridicilous in the beginning when they arrive in cars and motorcycle(?) shit hahaha, it's like an upgrade of the The Anthem video. So funny.
- WHY IN HELL WOULD YOU PUT DANCERS AROUND THE STAGE. It looks so wrong I can't even find words. I laughed through the whole video because of that. Wouldn't it have been better if they had invited GCFAM to be by the stage to watch them? Oh my god.
- Feel sorry for Paul who didn't get to experience this special show.
- It also annoys me that they only talk about Joel and Benji without even mentioning the other guys.
- Joel have no idea what to say between the songs, awkward. "ENJOY.... the show...".
Some old performances you may not have seen.
Really great performance of them back in 2001. They all look so good in this one haha. Benji with baby spikes, Joel with tank top, Paul with blue hair and Billy with tie. They seemed to enjoy it so much aw. It's also cool because they only play the really old songs since TYATH hadn't released yet. I really wish they would bring back the heavier sound to their live perfomances though, now they pop it up so much which I think takes away the energy of the show. Wow, how I wish I would've been in that crowd.

Here's a video of Good Charlotte performing at another big event a couple of days ago, the AFL footy show in Asutralia. I love the sound they opened The Anthem with, you know that slow thing that's usually in the middle of the song before the jumping-part. And Joel's voice sounds fantastic! Think he felt the need to be a bit punk rock with walking jumping up the tables after the Billie Joe iheartradio thing haha? Anyways, this was really fun to watch!
Unfortunately Paul couldn't be there since his wife gave birth to a son a few days ago! Happy for them! This means we have two newborns in the GCFAM at the moment.

They're back
So, Good Charlotte played their first real show in over one year yesterday. The show was held at the Festival Hall in Melbourne where thousands of people came to watch them. The setlist seems to be the same as it was last year except they put on Misery. Benji played two acoustic songs, Emotionless and Beautiful Place. No encore. They joked around a lot and seemed to enjoy being back playing together. They also talked about making new records and stuff, that the reason they won't be active in a while is because of babies poppin' out (Paul&Billy). Here's a review from the show. A fan's story.
They also played a pretty small acoustic gig on the 19th, also in Melbourne. Only Joel and Benji.

Next up is a show in Sydney tonight, a gig at the Fat as Butter festival (Newcastle) tomorrow and finally a gig at the V8 Supercar's on October 20th.

För några år sedan (måste ha varit runt 2003) gick en serie på MTV som hette "Crashing With Good Charlotte".
Serien var nästan lite som "The Simple Life" med Paris Hilton och Nicole Richie. Killarna från Good Charlotte flyttade in i en vanlig medelfamilj i USA medan dom var på turné, för att känna på det "vanliga" livet.
Dock så tror jag att det bara gick ett avsnitt av serien.
